Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
Most of the time I am an open book. I take too many pictures and I shamelessly overshare my struggles and wins, but lately I have been doing more internal work. I know that I have been absent for awhile and I missed most of my February posts, but they were starting to feel like chores rather than joys and so I decided to check out of that mindset.
I needed to stress less and that meant taking blogging off of my plate for a little while. There really is no shame in taking breaks when you need them.
This week I decided to deactivate my Facebook and uninstall messenger from my phone for the first time in years. I tried doing it a few months ago, but it only lasted for a day and a half. This time around I decided to break from social media so that I could focus on my studies.
In November, I was doing 1 hour of coding a day and it was a good challenge for me, but by January I fell off completely and got so busy with running and working. I decided to give up social media for a little while so that I could put my energy and time into learning. I still check into instagram every now and then (at least once a day), but that is far less than I used to do.
I had my reasons for disappearing. Life was feeling hectic (self-imposed pressure) and I was forgetting how to have fun. This may be a strange way to de-stress and feel alive again, but I have entered the growth mindset which requires focus, structure, and discipline.
And the truth is, I thrive with structure in my life and challenges to face so here I go. Just wanted to let you know that I am still here and you will be seeing more of me soon.
